Divine Alignment- through Divine talks, Mystical Imagination & Faith

Turn off your mind and turn on your SOUL; for there isn’t anything more powerful than a SOUL filled with FAITH! Something I talk about as being the most important in my painting process is not letting fear stop me from experimenting or trying something and allow the painting to unfold as it will instead of trying to control it. To play and have fun and not attach to the outcome of what I ‘think’ it should look like. This is an intuitive process and this is the process I inco

What is Intuitive Painting?

Intuitive painting. What is it? Well, I can tell you what it is to me. I describe my painting process as color and shape based with an intuitive process. This means that when I’m connecting with my painting I’m connecting with the colors and how the colors make me feel, and I’m connecting with the shapes and how they make me feel. I like to feel some contrast in my colors but I also like harmony within the whole feeling of the painting. I like static shapes that just sit ther

Life & Painting-Dealing with feeling like, ‘I’ve made the wrong choice.’

And so it goes. The feelings that, I’ve made the wrong choice, or that, I’ve ruined something, rear their ugly heads all too often. My approach to painting mimics what I work on as my approach to life, though painting can be easier to implement my intuitive strategies and learn the necessary lessons along the way, the parallel helps me see things better on my life path about what is going on within myself. What has come to the surface about feeling wrong, feeling I made the w

How would I show up in the world if, I was like a painting on the wall?

A friend sent me a message the other day telling me the painting of mine she has hanging in her study has taken on a story of its own and the next time I visit she will re-introduce me to it. Wow! These words struck me as so beautiful and enlightening. The painting I once worked on to birth into this world has taken on a life of it’s own. I hope she doesn’t mind me copying what she wrote me so I can quote her directly, she said. “I loved the colors, and wanted to add some vib

My Guest spot on the Podcast-Being a Whole Person

You can give a listen or read the transcript over on her site Coaching for Creative Wellness. So, I got the lovely chance to be a guest on the amazing, Being a Whole Person Podcast with Rebecca Haas. This was from back in August so it was really interesting to see what I had to say back then! Feels like a life time ago. Really, not much has changed and everything has changed. I’m still discovering how I ‘want to show up with this positive energy’. I’m still making Yin Yoga,

If you’re not selling a lot than you’re not a real artist…BULLSHIT!

If you’re not selling a lot than how can you call yourself a reeeaaalll artist?! This is shit I call BULLSHIT to!!!! I’ve heard lots of questions in regards to my abstract art and maybe you have too. Those well intentioned curious people who like or don’t like your artwork and ask you questions like, what is it, what does it mean, or do you sell a lot, and the kicker, well if you don’t support yourself from your art can you really say you’re an artist?! Aaaannnnnddddd Bullshi

Paintings & Prayers-Divine writings-Spirit letters-Universe whispers

Paintings and Prayers. So this is something that was given to me yesterday. Though I know prayers sounds religious for some people and I don’t believe you need to have a religion to be spiritual so I came up with other ways of saying it. I love all of them! I’m thinking of creating some lovely little paintings and then channeling a simple prayer-writing-letter-whisper that comes through and typing it up and printing it on top of my aligned art work. My handwriting sucks so wr

Soul Painting

“Intuition isn’t here for us to create a beautiful outcome, it’s here for us to create a beautiful journey.” Lauren There’s something in me that will never give up. I will continue to make art whether I like it that day, whether you like it, whether I feel like making it or not. I will create. It’s what I do. It’s what gives me purpose and connection to a deeper self. I get the feels. Whether I look at something and think it’s shit or wonderful, I feel like there’s been magic

Abstract art process video

Here’s a sped up full look at this abstract art pieces’ process. This one came out so full of bright, vibrant colors I just love! I had no plan I just dove in and that’s usually the place I work the best from. I have my best results when I just let go, play, have fun and see where that moment takes me. Get your Golden fluid acrylics like I used in this video from Blick Art Materials. This is also where I buy my canvas rolls for painting big on the floor without the price of

Abstract Art Ideas

Trying new things is one of my favorite things to do. I like the process of figuring out the next move, when it’s time for the next move as opposed to thinking too much about it. At least for my art. It helps me get out of my over-thinking mind and into feeling what the painting needs at that time. It’s good mindfulness practice and inspiration, imagination and the feel goods all at the same time. Here are a couple videos of my art process from splats, drips, drops to scrapes

How to make Abstract Art Paintings

First, WHAT IS ABSTRACT ART? Abstract art is really all I paint. Why abstract and what is abstract? I can’t speak technically as I’m not a professional art historian, but I can speak from experience. Abstract to me means that the painting is nonrepresentational of anything that we can recognize, such as a Dog or couch etc.in its exact form. Though things may end up looking like things in these works, they were either not on purpose or they were on purpose yet are extremely di

Creativity and Healing

CREATIVITY AND HEALING Creativity is a joy. Using your imagination is like developing and delving into your own personal worlds, created by you in any way you can imagine. How you’re creative doesn’t matter. There’s so many forms of expression and creativity. Drawing, photos, painting, doing an intuitive yoga flow. Whatever it is, just do it. Just start doing it. Don’t think too much, this gets in the way of the work. At least for me. This is what draws me to abstract art. It

Dino Nuggets make me more creative!

Dino Nuggets (not a paid link, just for your enjoyment) I’m a grown ass adult woman and I love eating dino nuggets; and no not because I have a young kid to make them for, I make them for me. I know you might be scratching your head and/or laughing and/or scratching your head and laughing because yeah, it’s kinda a weird title that needs some context. And yes, I really do love eating dino nuggets or any kinda nuggets or tenders really, but why would I say dino nuggets make me

Why I love painting with Acrylic Paints

So there’s a lot of different ways to make art out there and we all will lean towards something over something else and/or we decide to learn and use many techniques. Whatever. It’s all cool. I personally love acrylic paints. I’ve dabbled in watercolor, I dabbled in water based oils, I’ve tried sketching and markers and colored pencils and although they’re all cool, I just LOVE love love acrylics! Why you ask? Ok, I’ll tell you. And I’ll even tell you a few of the cons and h
